N.A.S.A Class Trip

 Gone Wrong

"Miss, Miss Salter". "Arrr", she can't hear me. Guess I'll have to go the toilet without the teacher knowing, cmon Jack. We find the bathroom and I tell Jack "just wait here so I don't get lost". Once I've finished in the toilet Jack tells me "I think they went through this door, into the planet observatory". "Ok then lets go there" I say. We go through that door it shuts behind us "noooo".

 We hear the countdown 10,9,8,7 seconds till lift off. Look at Jack, Jack looks at me. But before we could we could do anything we hear a loud bang, wish, pow. Jack and I jump to hold on to something stable. I feel dizzy because we're going up so fast and before I know it we're in space. I calm myself down and find a manual and try to read it but it's in French so I can't. But then I see a picture in the manual witch explained to cut the red wire. That sounded simpler enough. So I did just that, I got some pliers and carefully cut the red wire. But then the speakers in the space ship sounded "self destruct in 5,4,3,2,1".

Once there was a treasure chest that had the most mysterious thing in it. People were looking everywhere but one-day a boy called Daniel found a map and this is were the story begins. Daniel is a boy who like to exercise ."Ahh" screamed Daniel as the weight got too heavy that he fell thorough the hole that the weight lift made.He found a map to some sort of treasure chest."I can be rich and famous now"thought Daniel.He was at some sort of island with his friend Jamie."Ahh"screamed Jamie after he got trapped.Daniel found a cave that had a little bit of light in it.As he went further he found the chest.He opened it.It was a computer."I came here for nothing"Said Daniel.He brought the computer home.He opened it up and played extreme hide and seek.Suddenly Daniel got sucked into the game and lived in there forever. 

Smash smash meow ah mum sophie smashed three cups. Well clean it up then ok then can I watch tv i'm all ready for school yes you can but only for ten minutes ok so I went in and watched and it was about the time to go to school when I noticed sophie had gone.And then I noticed something walking down the hallway that was the same size as me.So I went to hop off the couch and I fell.Meow oh my god I just made that noise.I looked at my feet and they had turned into paws and I was as fluffy as an kitten sophie had turned into me I hope she's happy cause I shore an't

I wake up it’s a beautiful spring morning. The sunrise threw the curtain hit my eyes and made me think I was going to have a great day.

 Suddenly something jumps on me,It’s my little dog charlie. I start to pat him he was so soft that made me want to cuddle him .Then he starts to close his eyes and rests in my arms.I hear mum calling from downstairs. “Ji time to wake up” 

“Looks like mum’s in a good mood”, I said then Charlie licks me and it sounds like a yes.

Young Leaders Day

On Monday the 16th of May the school councilors and Ambassadors went to National Young Leaders day. We heard heaps of inspiring speakers talk to us about their past and how to be great leaders. Some of the speakers were Brylee Mills , who is an amputee but she still dances professionally. Chris Jupp who  works at World Vision and goes around the country helping people. We had heaps more inspiring people as well. Some of the key quotes were: You don't have to be a leader to be a leader, We all have ordinary footsteps some people just took the right path. It's not always what you achieve its about how you achieve it, Work hard and stay focused, don't listen to haters listen to supporters and lots lots more. In between speakers, once in a while we would play a game to get us all energized. The first game we played was a game with step perdomitors, which is a small device that measures your steps, whoever got the most steps won. The second game was a game with giant beach balls. We had to get them from one end of the arena to the other, just by bouncing it of our hands.They day was very fun and inspiring and it was a very cool opportunity and I'm glad we could all go.

My Experience

Stomp, stomp, thump, thump my heart reached out into my stomach and grabbed me. My nana's dog barked and screamed at this terrifying bear. Barney my nana's dog pounces at it but his innocent little body gets brutally devoured by the bear. I scream, "It's either now or never." I tell myself forget about the poor dog barking for me. I have to save myself but I just couldn't forget about him I grabbed the remains of the dog and ran as fast as I could as his blood bursting all over me. I felt like the trees were teasing me as the wind whistled with laughter. I finally got home but its too late. He was gone. I thought that the good guys always win. I guess not!

TKT Fundraiser

On Tuesday the 17th of May some students from TKT got together outside the class and sold pine cones, cupcakes, baking, and bracelets for $1 each to raise money for the S.P.C.A, Just Zilch, Fiji and Kids Cancer.
We did this because in our inquiry we were learning to be good citizens in our community and in the world. In the end it was worth it because we raised $233.60.
We were really surprised about how much we all raised so thank you so much to all the people who bought our things! You really helped and I'm sure that the company's we were raising for appreciate it too.

  

Fire

Fire roared and screamed at me. He blinked constantly as I fed him. His smoke rose up at me and danced. His firery flamed hands reached out and grabbed me with a warm hug. He spat at me in anger as he went out.

Lido pool- Maths

Today we just finished our lido pool maths activity. We had a lot of help from Miss Bisset and Miss Salter. The question was: "The lido had to empty had their outdoor 50 meter pool for the winter season. The width 14m and the depth is 1.6 They needed to get the water tanker to refill the pool during spring. Each water tank holds 11,000 litres and They charge $1625 per tanker load. Work out how many tanker loads to fill the pool and the cost".

This is our working and all our strategies. We had to use a whole white bored. Now it is your turn work it out our home.

Home Alone 

As Mum and Dad left I said "See you on Monday."

 "Toot Toot!! " as they waved back to me, then I realised that my brother was in the back of the car.

"CHRIS"!! I shouted 

"What's  wrong?" Mum said. 

"Christopher!" Then out came Chris from the car.

"Sorry Mum." He said.

"Hmmmm?, Well this clean and tidy house won't be for long I think I'll have a big party and invite all my friends and mum's friends over and  never tell them what we did and this house will be a immaculate before they get home" I said. 

"Toot Toot, we're home".

"Hi Mum Hi Dad your home earlier than you were meant to be". Chris and I said.

 "Just so you know the TV wasn't working so we bought a new TV and we got a free D.V.D player with the T.V. which was good we didn't have to spend all our pocket money!"

Diamante Poem

A diamante poem is a poem in the shape of a diamond. Each line uses specific types of words, like nouns, adjectives and -ing words.

The new house...

Honk! " We're here!"says the truck driver. But all I can see is a path. " I thought you were taking me to my new house?" I say, accusingly.

" Oh, you go up that path and then you will find some double doors. That is your new house." the driver tells me. " It's all fully furnished and everything." " OK?" I say, cautiously as I step out of the truck. As I walk down the path, moss squelches under my feet. I look behind me to see the truck but it is gone so I carry on up the path. Just when I think the path is never going to end I see some double doors. I open one of the doors a crack. " Hello?" I say quietly  just in case anyone is there. No one answers. So I swing both doors open and try to find the light switch. When I find it I switch it on. " Gasp!"

"Jema."I hear. The words echo in my head. Just then as if she heard. The sun covers me in her rays like a blanket. My friend shouts words like"YOLO,Good morning world!"

"JEMA AND AVA GET YOUR TOSH TO THE YABLE NOW!" yells my mother very loud. Infact as loud as a tiger. As I run down the stairs I feel like I will crash into the wall. Tripping over my silk gown, I fly down,  hit the ground smash everything in plain sight.

"Jema,Jema?!" I hear just before darkness smothers me in her arms......

I was stranded in the desert,I saw something shining far away.  

I was there.It felt like days in the scorching heat.It looked dismantled an rusty.I could feel hope of food and water being there.I could hear the gravel crackling like fire under my feet I could smell the rubber burning on the scorching hot tan colored gravel.

It was a car i put my hot little hand in to the boot I felt something in the boot, it was squishy I pulled it out it was a sandwich it was moldy and squishy I also felt something it felt like a plastic bottle maybe full of water,I pulled it out it did have water in it only it was yellow water .poof it was gone the bottle had disappeared strait out of my hand I looked around for a while,it cant of just disappeared from my hands just like that.Well that was my only chance of water and food and its gone.

The boy in a chest

"What!", I yell. I open my eyes in darkness. All I see is blackness. All I touch is wood. No sound no light only darkness, until a light shines brighter than the sun onto a chest. "A chest!" Wondering whats inside. Creek! The chest goes when I open it. Swwww! "AHHHH!" Bang! "Ohhh that hurt." I say to myself. I got back on my feet and started to look around. "Where am I?" I say in my head. Clap! "What? a torch!" I say, surprised. I turn on the torch. The torch shines onto. "MONEY!" I was surrounded by gold. I started to run "Wow a sword made of gold!" I say. I began to run and run again, until I stop at something. "NOOO!" ,I yell. I see a set of  bars in front of me, surrounding me. The bars were made of 700 year old metal, I knew right after I was in a dungeon from 1738 . "NOOOO! "AHHHHH!" Running around. "WHERE AM I!"

Darkness Poem

Darkness.

Dark, scary, spooky. Darkness slowly grinned at me, then made a sour face. He was hissing and shrieking, trying to scare me away. I bolted, screaming in fear.

Darkness was mean, he liked nobody. He laughed and laughed when somebody screamed, he didn't care. He didn't care at all.

The wind banged on my door as if it was expecting me to open it. I didn't dare to. Instead I hid under my duvet. The cold snow fluttered down but pounded on the roof, echoing against the rafters. After two days walking in the desert my wobbly legs have excruciating pain that I feel spreading through my sore body. As I'm walking I see an object in the long distance. It looks like a scrunched up piece of metal but as I get closer it becomes bigger. No I think. It's a rusted car that's been blown up for a signal.  I think it looks like it's been here for a while.  BOOM. It blows up again. 

 

Art club week 1

On Wednesday  we held a Art club. It went very well. We were teaching sketching on the first week

It was so much fun! Almost everyone listened. Everyone said it was fun and they were going to come back next time.

The floating castle

         

Whoosh! The curtains blew while I slept. Making me want to wake up. As I hopped out of bed I slowly opened my eyes, before I could open my curtains. "Bang", "crash" I opened my curtains as fast as light."What?" I gasped. I saw no other land, just clouds moving all over the place. I rushed to the palace door and opened it, what a bad idea. I tried to shut the door, I used all my strength, but I couldn't close it.   The wind was blowing the way the door opened.
I shouted, "Mum, Dad". I forgot they were out shopping called, Sliperly  Slimy  Sleepy  Shop .Soon I grabbed   some rope, through it around the door handle, tried it up and closed the door."Whew."
I woke up. The sun was peeking through my curtains. I jumped out of bed, looked out side, and all the land was there.I said it's probably a dream.To make sure,I said Mum,Dad "Yes" What do you want? "Nothing I said" "It must've been a dream" I raced to Mum and Dad's bedroom. I said loudly...
"I'm just wondering yesterday did you go to a shop called Sliperly Slimy Sleepy Shop?" No" they said loudly. "What are you talking about?" "Ahh nothing" it's probably just a weird and a silly dream.

The abandoned car

I had been walking in the in the desert for two days.It was a scorching hot day and I was still walking.then suddenly my eyes turned to a black dot far ahead.I started walking to it and as I closer it got bigger.When I got over to it it was a car.An old,rusty Abandoned car.I opened the door and it squeaked!,Inside was a rattle snake on the old seat it hissed! and rattled!.It jumped at me but I closed the door just in time.I heard a splat!,I opened the door and it was knocked out,I grabbed the snake and threw it far away.I heard a smash! and then a crack!I looked in the boot of the car and found a old phone.I called for help and the other person on the other side said "help is on the way".In about two hours a helicopter came and picked me up.

The space castle

"Whosh!" Went the soft wind on a beautiful summer morning.

The wind woke me up then in the same minute I heard a loud "CRASH!"

It was coming from my kitchen. Then I walked out of my room and walked into the kitchen. I saw little foot prints leading to the wall, as I looked higher I realised a tiny button that looked like an ant, that was on the wall. I pressed on it and I was standing in front of a secret and black castle, that was stuck on an island, that was flying in space. When I opened the door I went through the long, scary and dark ladder. It lead me to to a door. I opened the door with a loud "CRACK!" When I went up the ladder I fell into the hole.I landed in a dark cave full of diamonds and money. I found a sign that said If you go in this cave you'll never go back home!So then I saw the small little foot prints I saw in my house. So I followed them and, it lead me to a secret door, that looked hundreds of years old. So I opened it.... "AAAH!" I screamed. I saw a little creature, but then I realised it was just a poor little cat, and three little kittens. When I patted one of the kittens, they all climbed on me. One sat on my head, and the other two sat on my shoulders, and then I woke up in my cozy bed with a little kittens sitting on my lap, that was as warm as fire. "So it was just a dream." I told my three little kittens. But they just answered "meow!"
