For homework we had two problems to solve. Here are the questions along with some of the different ways the children in TKT solved them.
1. Some octopus (8 arm), some fish and a few mermaids were happily frolicking in a rock pool. Altogether there were 38 arms, 24 eyes and 8 tails all swimming in the pool.
How many mermaids were there?
2. In a class in the school down the road, everyone plays tennis or golf or both. In fact 80% play tennis and 70% play golf. What percentage plays both games?
Some not bad questions hope they did okey
