Inquiry Action 

As part of my inquiry on being a socially responsible citizen I decided to tidy up our school grounds.
I walked around the school with a rubbish bag and gloves. As I walked around l picked up rubbish
I was able to fill a whole bag of rubbish. I found the most rubbish at the pirate ship. As part of my
inquiry action I am going to try and pick up rubbish each week. Hopefully I can encourage other
people to keep our school tidy too.

Forest art

In week 9 TKT was set the task of creating forest art . It was hard but fun and TKT now have a tall tree standing in their class .We were put into groups. One group for making the tree and one for creating the bugs . The bug group first had to sketch out the outline of the creature then had to pastel around the outline of our chosen bug .Finally we had to cut out and colour in the image.

The tree group had to first look at Maori drawings, then had to sketch out the outline of their design we then went over the designs in black pastel we then finally dyed our pictures in green.

Inquiry contract

Two weeks ago everyone in TKT was given an inquiry contract to work on. All the activities were based on our inquiry "Citizenship". We had to research an organisation,find out about the people who featured on good sorts and last of all;find a way that we could be good citizens. Some people decided to run lunchtime clubs using the skills they had and others chose to fundraise by holding things like bake sales. Next term we will put all our ideas to action!

Paikea & Kawakawa

Paikea from TKT and Kawakawa from TKP are buddy classes. Every second Monday morning we meet, learn more about each other and do activities together. Today Kawakawa children read to their big buddy in Paikea. It was great to hear all the great reading and the big buddies supporting the little buddies.

Camp Movie

After camp we had to create a movie about it related to STRIVE. It was really hard to think of ways to link the 2 things but in the end we managed to come up with a few ideas. This is mine and Jakes.
