The School Triathlon

We had to run at the triathlon. We were puffing and puffing we were so hot.
After the running we were so hot we felt like just jumping in the pool. Instead, we just kept going.
Then finally we went to the cold pool.

The other day we had a Lego expert his name is Brian. He brought in a few Lego sets
Which he had years ago. So we had to get into a group of 7or 8. We all a got instructions
And a box of Lego and then we made them. After we put them on display.

Every second Thursday the children attend Science lessons with Mrs Mullinger. The children are currently learning about the Living World. They went for a natural walk and caught and then released some interesting bugs last week.

Me Poem

As part of our current Literary Contract one of the activities was to create a 'Me Poem' about themselves. Once they had completed this, they were then required to present the poem using Keynote or iMovie using pictures to support their poem and to have a voice over. Here is the first one that was completed today.

Literacy Contract

As part of our Literacy programme in Te Kete Tangaroa we create contracts that incorporate aspects from our Inquiry focus. The contracts require the children to use a variety of skills such as reading, writing, art, communication, and technology. Children may be required to work individually or collaboratively to complete tasks.

Elgregoe

Today we went to Elgregoe. He is a magician who taught as about how good it feels not to bully people through magic. He said "Hands are for helping not for hurting". He did lots of magic with birds and he even floated. He left our minds swirling with questions. He taught us that the following words were very important - respect, acceptance, integrity, responsibility and courage.
